What an awful week. It actually went fine and there were no problems. But I hate feeling so busy and tired and worried about forgetting something important. I have definitely come to appreciate all the small jobs my co-teachers do! I will be so happy to see them tomorrow!!!!!
I was in charge of getting this week's craft done and sent home in time for Girls Day. Different kids come on different days so it was a bit tricky getting everyone. But here is the final product...

The little footprints are really cute.
And next....

These are the Humpty Dumptys my kids made on Friday. When they were finished they got to take turns helping their Humpty fall off the wall. They LOVED it! Don't worry, the eggs were boiled so it didn't make a mess. It was a great end to the week!
Today we went strawberry picking! It was the first time for all of us and we had a great time. Princess P went hard and was done eating after 15 minutes but spent the rest of the time picking, washing and feeding strawberries to us. She also managed to spill water on herself and get covered in mud! But we had a fantastic time and will definitely go again.

In other news.... 2 weeks until my birthday. I'll be turning 34. I haven't really thought about what I want to do to celebrate, if anything. What I really want is a great big piss up at my favorite izakaya with Corinne and the girls but that will have to wait for at least another 5 months. Any good ideas for an alcohol free birthday? This year I don't really have anything in mind for a present either. I'll have to come up with something as King N has no idea and requires guidance. I think this year I've just been too tired to get excited about my birthday.
It's also 2 weeks until my next baby doctor appointment. Fortunately pickle is big enough that I no longer need vaginal ultrasounds because that is no way to spend your birthday! I will be 20 weeks along and the doctor will hopefully be able to see pickle's bits and tell me what we're having. That would be a nice birthday present!
Only 2 and a half weeks until I'm unemployed. I have to admit that I'm very much looking forward to talking a break. I really need the rest. It will be nice being just a housewife for a change. I think the novelty will wear off quickly but I'm sure the first few weeks will be awesome!
So, what's going on in your lives????
Mwah!

You've done well to get through the week. Loving the craft activities- so cute. You definitely need a break, as weird and scary as being unemployed is. We are having a combined birthday/housewarming this year. Wish you could be there. Not sure what I want for a present but Bryan is pretty good with presents so we'll see what he comes up with. Strawberry picking looks awesome!Put that on my list of things to do next time I'm in Japan. Love you.xxxooo
Sister B.
LOVE the footprint hinasama. They are awesome. Also love humpty dumpty. Am thinking I should do a class with my English kids.
You do deserve the break. It will be nice to perhaps enjoy the pregnancy a bit with the house all to yourself. Let me know if the pickle 100% has bits and I'll pack a few of Ryu's things in with the baby gate and summer mozzie net. Not sure if I told you that the hard plastic gate was broken. I gave it a trial run and its fu**ed. The other one is fine but its the one you have to step over.
